This is the final song by John Denver- written during a trip along the Colorado River, about a month before he died. The song was never recorded in a studio, though he performed it live several times during his final concerts in September and early October 1997. This live recording was played at his memorial service and aired on MSNBC. I boosted the volume and tried to clean it up a little by l...

The "Late Night with David Letterman" 10th Anniversary Special, taped off of KYW 3 in Philadelphia on February 6, 1992. I recently found this on one of my family's old Betamax tapes. We regularly used the Beta format until December of 1989- that Christmas, we got our first VHS recorder, and I rarely taped anything on Beta after that. That said, if I was in a jam or didn't have a blank VHS tape ...

This single isn’t using Auto-tone. Billy has never had a problem with his pitch. Whatever they did is much More advanced than auto-tone. They de aged his voice somehow. I guess they did it with AI the same as the video. Whatever they did, it’s something new because Billy sounded like he did 30 or 40 years ago as a young man. I’ve heard him saying several interviews that he would never use autotune he’s just not that kind of guy. In the video it sounds to me that his voice matches each stage of his life that they portray. It gets a little bit different as time goes on just like in real life. Yea, but I’m pretty sure it’s AI. His voice changed from the bridge to storm front to river of dreams and it never had as much correction in it as it did this song. Both versions are good though. The studio version is a reminder of how Billy sounded when he was young and this version is as he sounds now. It’s kind of a good thing to have both I

Bekka Bramlett did asuperb job on duo vocals here. Billy Joel really is one of the very very greats of US rock n roll scene and he is a bit under appreciated, kinda like Tom Petty is. Such fine writers. Billy's vocals are always superb. he is a real vocal chameleon and that I am guessing influecned by his love of the Beatles where Paul did a lot of that too. One of the finest to very do it, never miss a Billy Joel show. He is a treasure

I was working part time for the former A&P in Belleville before they shuttered & was 23 years old when it happened. I woke up on my day off from work to go to the bathroom at my parent’s old house on Union Avenue in Belleville & I would usually go into my parent’s bedroom to watch the morning news & see what was happening in the world & then 8:50 was when the bulletin came on about the twin towers that were on fire & I thought I was watching a movie & that’s when I heard my brother’s personal phone line ringing & it was my mother that was calling him to inform him to turn the TV on & see what he can see. He even had come out of his bedroom & said to me if I had the TV on & I blurted the words, “I’m watching it right now.” We were both in shock when the towers were struck & destroyed. I even had to go outside for a bit in my nightwear to see for myself & I saw the smoke in the distance. What really drew my attention was when we went on a cruise to go to Nova Scotia, Canada & New England areas the week of August 12th till the 19th & it was the last time we had seen the twin towers in real life 2-3 weeks before they were destroyed. My mother was thinking of going the week of September 9th till the 16th & good thing she didn’t book that cruise week because we would’ve been stuck at a different port.

I worked at a dealership in Florida years ago and Mike Love made a paid appearance there. I was too busy trying to sell cars to spend too much time around him, but I wasn’t impressed during the time I did. He just wasn’t personable. It seemed like he just wanted to get paid and get the heck outta there, no smiles, no “how ya doin” when he walked by you. Now I get it..

Why did NO reporter, watching the scene LIVE, see the "plane" hit?? IN NO VIDEO!! Review all the 9/11 videos you want, look for ONE reporter who was watching the scene who says he saw a plane . . . Not even those who were in the helicopters!! They had to tell him from the Studios!! No one else finds it strange. . .?

No song writer has ever been more overrated than Brian Wilson and that's including John Lennon. Mike Love proved in court that he wrote half the Beach Boys songs. He was just as much a part of it as Brian. The only real thing Brian did was form the band in the very beginning and develop that beach sound (that he later said he had grown to despise) . Once Brian left in 64, Mike and Carl were the only reason that the band continued to have success all the way into the 80s, and anyone that claims otherwise is just flat out wrong. They were without Brian longer than they were ever with him and that is a fact.

Love is no saxophonist, what a joke! He honks a few notes on tenor sax and this solo was an alto sax solo. I am an accomplished saxophonist and vocalist, so I know! Also, his voice is way out of tune, he has no range, etc. and has been this way for years. He's getting older, I get it. I enjoy the band and have attended many concerts. Just being honest! lol
